Oklahoma City Thunder Logo and colors leaked?
Reports come from the forums that the image to the right here is the new Oklahoma City Thunder Logo. The logo that you see on the Basketball looks a little retro, I really hope that it turns out to be a fake. If this logo is the real deal though it looks like the Oklahoma City Thunder colors are blue, yellow and orange. Which aren’t bad colors to use but definitely a surprise.
Supposedly the story goes that someone working in a distribution center took a picture with their cell phone of this basketball and sent it anonymously to several people.
We’ll all find out on Wednesday what the real logo and colors are going to be. If anyone has any more information about this being real or fake please leave a comment so we can get to the bottom of this!

3:45PM Update: As you will see in the comments in looks like the NBA has further leaked the Thunder logo you see above, as well as the Oklahoma City Thunder name in their apparel store. Only an hour to go for the official announcement.
5:13 Update: Oklahoma City NBA site has a OKC Thunder shop available where you can purchase some gear.

That’s pretty lame looking. I was thinking maybe a yellow, red and black design but if this is the logo it looks horribly generic.

No possible way in hell that this is the real logo. The NBA would not allow such childish refrigerator art. Nice font on “THUNDER”.

It’s nice to see the work that the Hornets do with their new uniforms and logos renovation this year.That’s a good work.I hope that this is only a false alarm and they come with something nice but they already started wrong if the name will be thunder.

Joe, are you serious? A fan is a fan because they like the team. If out of the gate the logo is at best an eye sore that should bring them massive FANATIC scorn.
This logo looks committee driven, hacked together not by a skillful design firm but by a hack who allows themselves to be an extension of a group of individuals who fancy themselves as art directors.
This logo is the absolute worst modern sports logo in America. Well done OKC!

The logo was actually done by Ackerman McQueen. Surprising as they are a rather prestigious design firm. I’m sure that the client had to have pressured to pick the wrong logo or mix and match.

I love the name Thunder, I would have preferred a horse as a logo named Thunder. A spotted Indian horse would have been great. Doing this would have tied all the elements of Oklahoma together. One thing a cowboy and an indian can agree with, that is the value of a horse.

This logo looks like something you would make in ten minutes on microsoft paint. I hate the team name, and the logo is even worse. Give us the supersonics name.

The colors are messed up! Who ever thought of yellow,orange, and blue? The name is awesome though, but the logo is terrible! It looks like a wnba logo that went wrong!
