New design for the site will come soon

I will create a new theme for this site as soon as the colors and logo are announced for the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team. I wouldn’t want to create a design that is too different from the actual team itself. I’m sure that the team will not end up using the black and white colors that the Oklahoma City NBA jerseys currently have. As soon as I found out what everything is going to look like for the new Oklahoma City NBA team I will have a new design and try to simultaneously announce to everyone the colors, logo and any new information I find out about the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team. Thank you for your patience with the boring theme that is up right now.

Information on Oklahoma City Thunder NBA tickets for the 2008-2009 season

The NBA has announced the ticket prices for our new Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team. The tickets are some of the most affordable basketball tickets in the league.  The Oklahoma City NBA has begun contacting all that had asked for tickets on Saturday, the list is said to be at about 18,000. More than half of the seats at the Ford Center will sell for less than $50 per a game and at least 3400 seats will be available for just $10.

It looks like Oklahoma City Basketball fans will be able to watch the game pretty inexpensively this season. I’m sure the price is set so low to create some new Oklahoma City Thunder fans. Don’t think that all of the better seats will be as cheap though. Premium seats will cost around $250 a game. The team said that just because you aren’t on the list doesn’t mean you are out of luck for season tickets. It is always on a first come first serve basis so contact the Oklahoma City Thunder ASAP to schedule an appointment for season tickets. The seat selection process will begin on September 8th at the Oklahoma City Ford Center. You can contact the Oklahoma City Thunder offices at 405-208-4600 for Oklahoma City Basketball season tickets information.

The Oklahoma City NBA has aquired a few new team members for the 2008-2009 Basketball season. The new NBA players for Oklahoma City will be Joe Smith and Desmond Mason from the Bucks. The trade was for Adfrian Griffin and Luke Ridnour who were sent to the Bucks. Also Kyle Weaver will be part of the Oklahoma City Thunder team, coming from the Charlotte Bobcats. Kyle Weaver was selected 38th overall draft by the Bobcats and the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team sent New Yersey’s 2009 2nd round pick to Charlotte.

It has been announced by the Oklahoma City Basketball Chairman, Clay Bennett, that regular season tickets should go on sale around the first of September. With this bit of news Oklahoma City Basketball fans will have to wait another month begin purchasing tickets for the 2008-2009 NBA Regular Season Games.

Oklahoma City NBA loses bid on C.J. Miles

We fought a hard fight to get the valued player C.J. Miles from the Utah Jazz over the past weeks and it looks like the Utah Jazz was able to entice the NBA player to stay with the team and mend the rocky relationship with coach Jerry Sloan.

As we move towards the 2008-2009 NBA Regular season we so far have 13 players under contract, really 14 if you count the registricted free agent Robert Swift as one of the regular season players. The regular season seems to be approaching fast and it will only speed up some of the talks and offers that the Oklahoma City Thunder make for NBA players prepping the team for a big season.

Who likes the new Oklahoma City Thunder name?

I hear a lot of people talking about how bad the naming choice for the new Oklahoma City NBA Basketball team but I think that it doesn’t really matter what the name is, as long as Oklahomans support the team. In a few months from now no one is going to care about what the team name is.

Really it presents a lot of opportunity for headlines, the bad name may have even raised more press surrounding the new Oklahoma City Basketball team. I think that moving forward and praising the Thunder team name is the best idea for our Oklahoma NBA team.

When they start playing in the Ford Center I think Oklahomans will show their enthusiasm like we have for our OU Sooners (sorry cowboys fans).

Just like Shakespear said, “What is in a name?”

What I’m more curious to find is what the Thunder colors will be and what the Oklahoma City Thunder logo will look like. I think that as long as the design team comes up with a dynamic set of colors and logo that we can really overcome some of the nay sayers on the Basketball Team name.

We all know that most of Seattle and Sonics fans in general would bash the name and team no matter what was chosen for a team name. So I say ignore all of the negativety and lets move forward with the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team. I’ll see everyone at the Ford Center this season.

Introducing the new NBA team, the Oklahoma City Thunder

News just released about the new Oklahoma City Basketball team is that the name will be the Oklahoma City Thunder sources close to the owner have leaked. This new era in NBA and Oklahoma City history are a big turning point in the cities much acclaimed MAPS project which sought to restore Bricktown area into a centralized entertainment hub for Oklahoma City.

The forthcoming basketball team, Oklahoma City Thunder, will play in the Ford Center where the Blazers and Yard Dawgs have played over the years. This venue for the new Oklahoma City Basketball team is ideal for bringing in new business and entertainment to the Oklahoma City metro area.

The Oklahoman had run a contest to see who would win their bracket style contest and it turns out that the Oklahoma City Thunder beat out over calling the team the Outlaws.

Reports say that more than 16,000 people signed up for a season-ticket request list for the new Oklahoma City Thunder team during a 16 day span. This Basketball Season could prove to be an interesting one for Oklahoma City Basketball fans.

We’ll keep everyone up-to-date on upcoming announcements for the Oklahoma City Thunder and any news going into the 2008-2009 Basketball Season.

Clay Bennet has gone on WWLS to announce radio broadcast agreements

Clay Bennet, the chairman of the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball team has gone public with the agreement that the OKC NBA Basketball games will be aired over Citadel Communications. They are expected to broadcast all 82 regular season games. Clear Channel stations KTOK-AM 1000 and KHBZ-FM 94.7 were both approaced about the deals but had declined to broadcast the games for whatever reason.

A few other announcements include the second-round pick DeVon Hardin and trying to find out if Oklahoma City Thunder plans to go forward with this great NBA Player. We do know that we are really fighting the Utah Jazz for C.J. Miles. The back and forth proposals from both sides have been ongoign over the past few weeks.

C.J. Miles would be a great addition to the Oklahoma City NBA team, the OKC Thunder. We think that he could help bring us to some championship games in the coming weeks. As the fight continues the amount we are willing to give him on a four year contrast so far has reached to $15 million and the Utah Jazz has attempted to go up against us despite their cash flow problems.
